Valentia Technologies adds Mail Merge and Mass Mailing features to Integrated eMessaging Platform, Opus™

Valentia Technologies today announced the release of powerful new features to its online Integrated eMessaging Platform, Opus™.

Speaking at the release of V4.0 of Opus™, Valentia's Chief Operating Officer, Peter Nelson, said the new features have been added to its existing Opus™ platform in response to client requests for bulk messaging features. He added:

“The additional functionality will allow users to utilise Opus™ to even greater potential, especially for sales and marketing opportunities. The ability to communicate via an integrated suite of messaging tools will empower organisations to manage their sales and marketing workforces, as well as their customers and clients, in new and innovative ways. Opus™ allows users to broadcast sales and marketing information related to campaigns via SMS and MMS messaging to customers and clients. Additionally, sales forces can be more efficiently managed through SMS appointments being sent directly to their mobile phone, reducing reliance on emails.”

The new browser-based features included in Opus™ allow users to dynamically build and manage large email, SMS and MMS distribution lists. Opus™ can store a comprehensive set of client and organisational data. Once a message is sent, the user is not required to remain connected to the Platform. Opus™ includes an intelligent messaging engine that manages message distribution and creates a comprehensive log of all activities. Any email addresses that are no longer valid are captured in these log files and can be used to clean up mailing lists.

Additional Features

Additional features of Opus™ enable message senders to define alternative or multiple reply paths for both email and SMS. Using the system, organisations can easily reserve shortcodes, MSISDNs or keywords for various departments, users or marketing campaigns. This latter feature enables users to run comprehensive marketing campaigns without requiring any detailed technical knowledge.

Other features include address harvesting : enabling users to create or harvest email addresses by point a harvesting robot at specified email folders, documents or web pages.

Opus™ also supports multi-SMTP relay hopping in order to address the issue of poorly-configured spam filters which are found on many public email systems and which can block the broadcast of legitimate bulk email.
