Valentia Technologies releases CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR for Emergency First Responders

Valentia Technologies today announced the release of a Fleet Inventory module for its comprehensive Emergency Medical Services Suite, CareMonX™ EMS .

The CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR enables highly-mobile emergency first responders (who are generally on motor bikes, bicycles or on foot) to receive incident information and incident location details onto a PDA device. Utilising easy-to-use digital pen and paper technology powered by Anoto functionality, emergency first responders are able to record and transmit incident data in real-time via their PDAs. Transmitted data can be simultaneously broadcasted to multiple emergency services control centres including ambulance control, trauma, fire and police. CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR also provides emergency services control centres with real-time updates on the geo position of the emergency first responder to assist in optimising dispatch support decisions.

Speaking at the launch of CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR at the International Emergency and Catastrophe Management Conference in Dubai , Valentia Technologies CEO, Mr. Peter Nelson, said:

“The launch of CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR now provides emergency first responders with powerful enabling real-time technologies that are already available in the CareMonX™ EMS Suite to vehicle-based response units. Soon we will also be releasing even more powerful mobile applications for the first responders to enable them to bundle digital photo and other data with digital handwriting. We have already successfully completed trials of this functionality and we are keen to provide it to our CareMonX™ client base.”

Valentia Technologies Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ahmed Javad, explained that CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR is particularly suited to high-traffic density areas where the use of mobile emergency first responders is important for ensuring rapid response to alerts. He added that CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR will facilitate more efficient management of major incidents, such as multi-casualty disasters and major alerts, due to quicker availability of field data.

CareMonX™ Pocket ePCR runs on Microsoft Mobile Platform over GSM, CDMA, Wi-Fi and TETRA networks. Anoto functionality for digital handwriting has been incorporated using Bluetooth communications and Maxell Penit digital pen hardware.
